2019 Wedding Trends

12/19/2018

As we get ready to spring into the new year and get ready for new ways to wow our wedding guests, we notice some trends that are on the rise and we wanted to share just a few that we loved!

Color
Pantone just announced the color of the year is a Living Coral and we love this! Color has started to make its way back into weddings. Although we love blush and pastels, color is where our heart lies. From jewel tones to vibrant basics, we can’t explain how awesome it is that color is making its way back into weddings!

Classics
There are many things that we love and a classic is always one of them. Wedding dresses are returning in more of a simple and classic, almost timeless look. We credit that to Meghan Markle and her simple yet stunning wedding dress.
A lot of weddings are now being held indoors but couples are bringing the floral installations, outside greenery, beach arches indoors and having both worlds meshed together. This creates a gorgeous back drop and scenery for any type of wedding.
Confetti!!
I mean…its fun and so glad many more people are embracing this fun trend. By the way, it looks AMAZING in photos!
Pant suits for bridal parties
This trend is taking waves as more and more couples are inviting their friends of the opposite sex to join them on their sides. More and more bridesmaids are being groomgirls and men are being a part of their girlfriends wedding as bridesmen. Whichever way you celebrate it, it is a treat to see these stunning pantsuits in action.
Low floral installations
Something that has been steadily coming back into weddings and events all over is the low centerpiece. A few years ago, it was the taller centerpieces and then it was the tall and short being used and now low centerpieces are coming back. As I noticed this trend a little in 2018, I am so excited for lower centerpieces, it creates a more unique look on rectangular tables and gives way to a flow for conversation
Subscription boxes
Now this is one of my favorites! Subscription boxes have been making waves for a few years and I don’t see this trend slowing down. Previously used for gifting and more practical matters, like monthly wines. However, the boxes have taken a turn to the wedding industry. Here are a few that are my favorite:
  1. Maven Box
  2. Miss To Mrs
  3. The Bride Box
  4. Tulle La La  - (great grooms options)
And something new that is truly a fun trend: Custom Neon Wedding Signs
It is the coolest thing ever! We always say we want to see our name in lights and now you can! Check out NarWall on Etsy and their cool creations!
All of these amazing trends are just some of the trends happening in weddings and events for 2019. Make sure to come into Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique and we can get you fitted into your dream gown and let you start the trends!
